WOW Receives Grant, Bringing Broadband to Malden Washington

Wired or Wireless, Inc. is currently in the process of building a network infrastructure which will bring high-speed Broadband Internet and a community center to Malden Washington through the Community Connect Broadband Program Grant from the USDA Rural Development organization.

Broadband Internet services will put Malden back on the map. Only 40 miles from Spokane Washington, Malden will become an attractive location for small to medium sized companies to relocate their business to and/or build new facilities. Regional services can expand their offices to Malden offering the area higher quality health care, postal services, police services, retirement facilities, dental care, and so much more.

As part of the grant, the Malden Community Center will be built as a location for the town's people to connect to the outside world in ways they were unable to before. With computer stations connected with high-speed Broadband Internet, residents will be able to email with family, chat online with friends, shop, be involved in distance learning for colleges, home-school their children, do research projects and homework, make affordable or free calls throughout the country using VoIP services, as well as host video conferencing. All of these benefits and more will be available to the citizens of Malden with this grant project.

With the addition of true broadband connectivity and the creation of a modern community center the residents of the once thriving, historic city of Malden will be able to bring their city back to life. Bringing broadband to Malden enables endless possibilities for growth and abundance. This build-out will allow easy access to services provided by Inland Northwest Health Services, the Sate of Washington, the Veterans Administration, and other private and public organizations operating throughout Washington State as well as throughout the country.
